Manakau South Head lighthouse is located geographicly near Auckland, but about 100km by road. The lighthouse was demolished some years ago when it was predicted that it would colapse due to erosion of the cliff on which the light was constructed. The remains above were all that I could find when I visited the site in August 1998.
